Hermann & Audrey’s monthly Fashion Film House continued with a showcase of the latest works from three exceptional talents, Clay Boutté, Allison Kortokrax, and Kyle Thompson who all share a brilliant eye for beauty. The screening was curated by Hermann & Audrey and featured a mix of chic, modern editorials; high-fashion shoots; and creative, conceptual images brought to life by our featured photographers. Chicago’s fashion-forward creatives enjoyed drinks in The Public Hotel’s Library Bar –thanks to our hosts at the Public! On July 30th 2014, Fashion Film House made its Toronto debut. Three of Toronto’s known fashion influencers, photographer Cory VanderPloeg, Stylist Talia Brown, and Makeup Artist Bree Powell were highlighted in a fashion film showcase made up of content and footage of their past works done both together and apart. The Hermann & Audrey studio was transformed into a theatre and lounge where friends and fashionistas gathered to mingle over drinks while catching inspirational images and video from featured trio.
Beginning in Chicago, Fashion Film House is a monthly event that provides a unique platform for fashion professionals to be showcased. It was created to empower the fashion industry as a whole and in doing so to promote beneficial collaboration. On Thursday, March 20th, Hermann & Audrey hosted the 3rd monthly Fashion Film House showcasing the raw, whimsical worlds of Kirsten Miccoli’s Photography in the Public Hotel’s Chicago Screening Room. Kirsten’s work, inspired by beauty and the people in the world around her, creates whimsical worlds that tell a story of the garments she photographs.

Hermann & Audrey’s Fashion Film House for June promoted the creativity and inspiration that local stylists have brought to the forefront of the fashion industry. This Fashion Film House boasted the original works of three cutting-edge talents; Ashley Crawford, Elizabeth Margulis and Patric Chauvez. Their innovative eye and inescapable flare was shared with many in the Public Hotel’s screening room in Chicago. We had a chance to snag an interview with Chicago stylist, Elizabeth Margulis to uncover her thoughts and feelings on inspiration, fashion, and becoming a stylist.
“I’ve ALWAYS had a niche for style, fashion and all things creative and artsy. I knew I wanted to become a stylist when I moved to Chicago a few years ago. I saw how much “personal style” was appreciated here and how distinct was ideal so I wanted to project that on a larger scale.” – Ashley Crawford
The screening room of Ian Schrager’s Public Chicago played host to the art and film of Cory Vanderploeg on December 18th. Many thanks to our hosts, and those who joined us for Hermann & Audrey’s first use of the hotel to mount an exhibit. The evening included screenings of fashion films A House No More and Zoe.trope against an installation of COLOSSAL, Vanderploeg’s 2013 World Mastercard Fashion Week print exhibit in collaboration with designer Laura Siegel.

Congratulations to Javier Lovera, Cory Vanderploeg and the associated members of the Hermann & Audrey production team in receiving the honour of an international finalist with IUFF based in Milan.Along with 30 0ther finalists, A House No More, a film originally debuted with Bullett Magazine, was screened for one week in the two main city squares in Milan, at the Milan Fair and for two days in Teatro Franco Parenti during Milan Fashion Week.

Alongside our 1506 Dundas Street West location in Toronto, Hermann & Audrey is proud to now offer its growing community two commercial galleries, production studios and special event spaces.
