I had this idea a while back to shoot a fashion creative and combine the images together later in post production to create a collage effect. This is something I put a lot of thought into and really didn’t know how the story would turn out until after the all of the post production and laying out was finished.
The process was much easier than I had originally anticipated. I started off by selecting the images that I wanted to layout, for instance the two photos below. I took the two finished photographs and laid them out in photoshop to make sure everything fit together seamlessly. After I could see how they looked, I send the two images off to print.
After the printing process was the fun stuff. I literally ripped the prints in the same way that I had originally laid them out in photoshop and I scanned in the prints with the ripped edges using a very high res scanner. From there I laid them out the same way in PS and here is the final product.
I loved this project because I got to creative with the layout process and each images is truly a unique one. To see more images check out my fashion section or head over to Plaid Magazine to see the issue online.
