In collaboration between NXNE Art, the Downtown Yonge Business Improvement Area (DYBIA) and Mirvish Productions, a mural project was commissioned aimed at showcasing opportunities for the revitalization of lost space in the city of Toronto.  Over the week of NXNE 2014, artists Alexa Hatanaka and Patrick Thompson transformed the Mirvish Productions overpass in O’Keefe Lane that faces Toronto’s famous Yonge and Dundas Square. The mural, which took inspiration from the Mirvish theatre setting, now stands as vibrant icon in the city’s use of once unnoticed space.
